After many months of waiting, Airtel Nigeria 4G LTE service is currently live and active in 3 states as of the time of writing, the states include Ogun, Lagos, and Ibadan. the company joined other major carriers like MTN GLO Mobile and 9Mobile, however, has since launched their own 4G LTE service.
Just a few weeks past, some users started noticing the presence of Airtel 4G LTE on their devices and currently it's been confirmed operating within the 3 states mentioned above. The speed was tested on Speedtest in Ibadan, the transfer speed was 28.45 Mbps and the transfer was 8.77 Mbps.
How do I Get it Active?
You can check your device to check if your location has 4G service. to do this simply move to Settings (in your 4G supported phone) >> Mobile networks >> Network operators >> Search networks.
Note: you can only enjoy this service once you have a 4G LTE sim card. you'll be able to get yours by visiting any Airtel Nigeria office and request for a SIM swap.
